Heat Pump Installation
Cold-climate air-source heat pumps, ducted or ductless, sized from a heat-loss calculation for your house. The contractor visits, recommends a system and gives you a written quote with model numbers, capacity and warranty.
- Ducted heat pumps that work with your existing ducts and furnace.
- Ductless mini-splits for homes without ducts, additions and basements.
- Hybrid systems that keep your gas furnace as backup for the coldest days.

Common questions
Ducted or ductless: which do I need?
If your home has ductwork in good shape, a ducted heat pump usually makes sense. Homes without ducts, additions and finished basements suit ductless mini-splits.
Do you install ground-source (geothermal) heat pumps?
Most requests are for air-source heat pumps. If you are interested in ground-source, mention it in your request so it goes to a contractor who installs them.
